Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") before using TalkBuddy ("the App"). By using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

TalkBuddy is an AI-powered language-practice companion. You speak with an AI tutor, and the App captures phrases and progress to support your learning. AI-generated content can be inaccurate — translations, corrections, and explanations may contain mistakes and are for practice only, not professional language instruction.

2. Accounts

You may use the App as a guest or by signing in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.

3. Subscriptions & billing

TalkBuddy offers a limited free tier and an auto-renewable subscription, TalkBuddy Pro (monthly or yearly), sold through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings. Prices are shown in the App before purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to generate or attempt to generate unlawful or harmful content, to abuse or overload our services or AI providers, or to reverse-engineer the App except where permitted by law.

5. Your content

Your conversations, saved phrases, and progress belong to you. You grant us the limited permission needed to process this content (including sending it to our AI provider) solely to provide and improve the service.

6. No warranty

The App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or appropriate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be shown in the App, and continuing to use it after an update means you accept the new Terms.
